The curtain has come down on The Core’s residency at Artrix, but we are delighted to announce that we have been busy developing the cultural programme at The Core. This includes an exciting programme of new shows for all ages that will take place in our ground floor Studio, starting with The Kilkennys on Saturday 6 April.

Our popular Henry's Blueshouse nights are back, and we're kicking off with some red-hot rock and blues from Rich Dickinson's Driving Force on Friday 12 April. The next Henry's Blueshouse show will be The Honeyboy Hickling Band on Friday 14 June, where audiences will be treated to music from the Blues Harp maestro Simon 'Honeyboy' Hickling and his band.

Masters of improvisational comedy Box Of Frogs will be leaping into action on Friday 26 April and Friday 7 June in the Studio. Enjoy an evening with Birmingham's premier comedy improv group, and spend the night laughing your socks off.

Then, on Saturday 4 May, we'll be joined in the Studio by the one-and-only Miss Teena Bizkit for the fabulous Teena's Spring Tease! This is a full-on variety selection box of a show, with a TV & Movies quiz, stand-up comedy, songs, guests, game shows, plus her ever popular - get up & dance disco filled ‘Music Bingo’ - all presented by everyone's favourite Drag Host. With a matinée and evening performance, there's plenty of Teena to go around.

We've got some fantastic comedy lined up from LuvEntertainment, starting with the Muslims are Coming on Sunday 12 May - expect lots of laughs from this Halal-larious comedy show. On Sunday 16 June, we have a top comedy double bill, with Sukh Ojla's brand new tour The Aunty Years at 7pm, followed by Tommy Sandhu's exciting solo debut tour at 8.45pm.
