Solihull Symphony Orchestra with guest conductor Richard Jenkinson perform William L Dawson’s 1934 Afro-American Folk Symphony and Jay Ungar’s haunting Ashokan Farewell together with works by Elgar and Delius, both of whom died in 1934.

In celebration of the Commonwealth Games coming to Birmingham, the concert opens with Delibes’ Prelude et les Chasseresses

Children under the age of 16 go free, but must have their own ticket and be accompanied by an adult.
