This one-off session will help you understand church registers and particularly how they can help you to progress beyond 1837 when certificates and census returns run out. You’ll gain an understanding of the records, as well as how to find them and make the most of them in your research. The session will also include some tips on how to read old handwriting and interpret dates, enabling you to find entries that haven’t been accurately transcribed and indexed. Course is for adults aged 18+
