The award-winning Peterbrook Players return to The Core Theatre for 2024 with Fiddler on the Roof.

Fiddler on the Roof is a musical that tells the story of a Jewish milkman named Tevye and his family in the little Russian town of Anatevka in 1905. Tevye struggles to maintain his traditions in the face of changing times and the growing anti-Semitism in Russia. He also has to deal with the marriages of his five daughters, who challenge the customs of arranged marriages and the authority of the matchmaker. The musical is a nostalgic tribute to Jewish culture.

Songs include ‘If I were a rich man’, ‘Matchmaker’ ‘Tradition’ and the memorable bottle dance.
