"Look Twice" by Gifford and Quinn

"Look Twice" by Gifford and Quinn

A variety of recent figurative paintings from Ruth Gifford and Graham Quinn.

Look Twice, an exhibition of new artwork by Ruth Gifford and Graham Quinn can be seen at The Courtyard Gallery at the Core Theatre Solihull, from the 17th October for two weeks.

As 2018 marks the Centenary Year of World War I, Look Twice includes some original paintings depicting this period in history. The Core Theatre will also be hosting “Keep the Home Fires Burning”, a musical dedicated to the forgotten melodies of World War I on Wednesday 17th October. The exhibition will be open on this evening if you are coming to the performance.

Look Twice also features paintings in a post-impressionist style from Ruth Gifford, as well as surrealist work from Graham Quinn. The exhibition is enhanced by Melanie Henderson’s textile sculptures, and regular visitors to the Core will recognise “Dolly” the life-sized textile figure who has been part of several exhibitions at the Courtyard Gallery.
