This live outdoor adaptation that David Walliams described as "Magnificent!" is being performed again by Heartbreak Productions this summer, adapted for the outdoor stage.

You’re invited to celebrate Annabelle’s 10th birthday, hosted by everyone’s favourite MP candidate, Janet Crumb! (Almost) everyone is welcome… that is, everyone apart from Chloe’s particularly smelly new friend, Mr Stink.

One perfectly normal afternoon in an average English town two restless souls unite on a park bench – one of them the lonely 12 year old Chloe Crumb and the other an incredibly smelly homeless man. Oh, and let’s not forget his loyal dog, the Duchess. Chloe’s curiosity and kindness pave the way for this extraordinary and rewarding friendship that takes them to the heady heights of live television and Downing Street via a garden shed.

Join The Core Theatre outdoors as Heartbreak productions, who specialise in outdoor theatre in unusual spaces present this irreverent comedy for today's children.

Bring your picnics, blankets and folding chairs, plus drinks and picnics to see this David Walliams' classic performed outdoors in the atmospheric lakeside setting of Brueton Park. Heartbreak Productions specialise in high quality outdoor theatre in unusual spaces.

Tickets are limited to 450 to ensure everyone can see and hear the performers within the best possible area. The shows have previously sold out so please book early. Tickets, where available, cost more when buying on the gate (£13 (£12 ch). There are toilets on site but no seating - audiences bring their own folding seat, blanket, waterproof coats, bin liners to sit on - whatever you wish appropriate to the weather.

The first 336 tickets purchased will be guaranteed a seat in the theatre in the event of extreme bad weather on the day.  This is due to very heavy rain, thunder, wind or waterlogged ground.  Occasional short showers don't prevent the show going ahead and can be fun!  Keep your eye on the website as updates will be posted here on the day of the show.

Ticket buyers who buy ONLINE or OVER PHONE can collect from the gate of the Arena from 6pm on the day of the show. Please do not visit the Box Office counter after 2pm, as your tickets will no longer be available to collect.

You may wish to bring a raincoats/macs/bin bags to keep dry just in case there is a spot of rain! Please don’t bring umbrellas as it may restrict the view of other guests. Don’t worry; we’re quietly confident it will be dry!

Portaloo nearby in park.  Parkridge Centre is normally open until the interval for drinks and confectionery and use of indoor toilets.  There is limited parking at Warwick Road end of the park, easy to park in Solihull and walk thorugh from Malvern park end.

Regrettably the two shows on 27 & 28th July were postponed due to actors self-isolating at short notice.  All ticket holders were notified of the new dates in advance of the show, and given the option of a ticket refund. We will not allow any refund requests made after 25 August, as we will assume anyone who has not requested a refund by this date has attended the rescheduled show.

The Core Theatre and Heartbreak Productions apologise for any inconvenience caused by the rescheduling of this performance.
