Lady Sings The Blues comes to The Core Theatre on Friday 31 July, an unforgettable tribute to Billie Holiday presented in partnership with Birmingham Jazz and Blues Festival.

Enjoy a powerful live concert celebrating one of jazz’s greatest voices. Featuring award-winning vocalist Val Wiseman and six outstanding jazz musicians, this critically acclaimed show traces Billie’s music through the 1930s, 40s and 50s - from intimate early recordings to iconic later works.

An evocative evening of live jazz, rich storytelling and unforgettable songs, this promises an unmissable highlight of this year’s Birmingham Jazz & Blues Festival. The band is stacked with British Jazz award winners, all supremely talented big hitters on the UK Jazz Scene.
