Funny to the Core is back on Friday 26 June! The Core’s monthly comedy club returns to the Studio at The Core later this month for another unforgettable night of big laughs and non-stop fun.
Headlined by fabulously funny comedian Stephen Bailey! Stephen is known for being proud northern, working class, gay man with a unique brand of sparkling wit and gossipy humour. He has supported some of the biggest names in stand-up and has charmed audiences with his playful sarcasm and northern warmth across appearances on shows like Live At The Apollo, Would I Lie To You and Celebrity Coach Trip. Stephen has also acted in The Madame Blanc Mysteries and new Channel 4 drama Tip Toe.
Opening the show is Joey Page! Accomplished and hilarious with a unique take on the everyday, Joey’s career so far has been studded with rave reviews, award nominations and TV appearances. Over the last few years, Joey has built quite the reputation as a circuit favourite, for his hilarious observations coming from a working-class hero trapped in the body of an east end hipster.
Also on the bill is Britain’s Got Talent 2024 finalist Alex Mitchell! Alex is an autistic comic with functional neurological disorder (FND). He uses self-deprecating humour – laughing at himself, his neurodivergence, disability and sexuality – to reflect on some of the most difficult subjects within his own life and wider society.
Hosted by the brilliant Ryan Mold!
We’ll see you there!
