There’s an action-packed programme of exciting events and activities happening in Solihull town centre during the summer holidays.
Summerfest, the ultimate feelgood music festival, comes to Tudor Grange Park from 20-21 July. Experience diverse acts, electrifying performances and unforgettable moments!
Get your buckets and spades out as Solihull turns ‘Costa Del Solihull’ from 20 July with the return of the ever-popular summer beach in Theatre Square. Build a sandcastle, snooze in a deckchair or watch some sport – a big screen will be showing major sporting events throughout the summer including Euro 2024, Wimbledon and the Paris Olympics.
The Solihull half marathon in support of Acorns Children’s Hospice takes place on 11 August and will start and finish in the town centre. If you’re not already taking part, come and lend your support!
Step into a world of wonder and adventure on 2-4 August as Solihull town centre is turned into a vibrant playground! The brand-new Solihull Family Festival will be a weekend full of FREE fun activities for the whole family!
Gather up your friends and family, pack a picnic and head to scenic Brueton Park with four fantastic outdoor theatre shows. Choose from The Gondoliers (1 August), Angelica Sprocket’s Pockets (10 August), Julius Caesar (13 August) and The Importance of Being Earnest (22 August).
Fresh Air Theatre is a cultural festival bringing more than 40 free events to parks across the Borough. As part of the festival, on 17 August Tudor Grange Park plays host to CastAway – a stunning outdoor performance featuring a gyroscopic flying machine and performers diving, twisting and floating in the air! Then on 29 August, Parade will see a giant wheel spinning performers around and upside down, on Solihull Hight Street.
Finally, foodies will be well catered for as Digbeth Dining Club bring the very best in street food to Malvern Park on 18th August.
This summer promises adventure and memories aplenty. So, embrace the warmth and soak up the community spirit here in Solihull!
