Summer may be over, but The Core Theatre’s programme is still sizzling with loads of exciting performances!
Kicking off on Friday 3 October is Buddy Holly & The Cricketers, with an energetic tribute to Holly and his rock ‘n’ roll legacy.
Funny to The Core will be returning to the Studio at The Core on Saturday 4 October, headlined by the hilarious Paul McCaffrey. Also on this night, the main theatre will host And Finally…Phil Collins, for a show packed with all Collins’ hits.
On Wednesday 8 October, enjoy an evening with Liverpool’s legendary comedian Stan Boardman. Apollo Theatre Company then presents Round the Horne on Thursday 9 October as part of the radio comedy classic’s 60th Anniversary Tour.
More music icons come to The Core with Andy Fairweather Low in the main theatre and Harvest - A Celebration of Neil Young in the Studio on Saturday 11 October. The Dusty Show is on Saturday 18 October, celebrating 60s pop legend Dusty Springfield.
And don’t miss St Alphege Musical Production Society (STAMPS) performing Andrew Lloyd Webber’s classic Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat from Tuesday 21 to Saturday 25 October.

Comedy-drama The Penguin Lessons is this month’s Cinema Bambino pick on Monday 6 October – later the same evening get into the Halloween spirit with cult favourite Death Becomes Her.
On Monday 13 October choose between the Alfred Hitchcock classic Psycho (2pm) or the brand-new, blues-infused horror, Sinners (7pm). The Hong Kong Cinema series continues with psychological thriller Peg O’ My Heart on Tuesday 14 October (11am).
Finishing this month off is the family favourite How to Train Your Dragon on Monday 27 October (2pm) - just in time for half term!
