Drawing Masterclass: Stage 1 (5 Week Course)

Do your children love drawing?

Learn to draw like a Pro! This 5 week course will take you through a step-by-step guide to teach you different skills and techniques to make your drawings realistic, expressive and spectacular. We’ll help you discover your inner artist!

These drawing workshops have been designed to develop good drawing habits in children from an early age. Consequently, children develop a good foundation in drawing based solely on observation. They will develop understanding on how to tackle complex subjects and be introduced to the language of art, learning both the technical terms and practising the drawing techniques.

The schedule:

• Wk1: 1 August 10:30am-12pm – Sketching Animals – Learn the art of sketching and making quick drawings of animals/pets.
• Wk2: 8 August 10:30am-12pm – Exploring Drawing Techniques – Shading, cross-hatching and experimenting with tone to make your drawings expressive and three dimensional.
• Wk3: 15 August 10:30am-12pm– Capturing People in Action Poses – Learn the art of capturing people in movement and dramatic poses. We’ll show you how to simplify complex poses and draw them with ease.
• Wk4: 22 August 10:30am-12pm– Norse Mythology Part 1 – Apply your learning and delve into the fantasy world of Norse Mythology, creating mythical and mystical illustrations inspired by Thor and Loki’s universe. Travel back to the beginning of time and visualise fantastic environments like the icy northern realm, or the southern realm of light. Cross the rainbow bridge to discover the beasts beyond, like the Midgard Serpent.
• Wk5: 29 August 10:30am-12pm– Norse Mythology Part 2 - Continuation of last week.
