Join Art at the Heart CIC for a fabulously creative arts and family funday to celebrate Diwali!
This year’s family fun day is elephant-themed and you’ll have the chance to help out making elephant artworks. You can also create Diwali themed puppets, giant rangoli patterns and community murals inspired by Indian miniatures.
Activities include:
Diwali Dome - Decorate the Dome and enact the Diwali story through projection and shadow-puppets
Giant Rangolis - Invite good luck, happiness, positivity and prosperity into your life by making giant communal rangoli.
The Haathi are Coming - Help us create an elephant for the Sari Sari Night Parade later the same day!
Small Lanterns - Make your own lantern to bring to the Sari Sari Night Parade later the same day!
Giant Lanterns - Decorate giant community lanterns for the parade with tassels and up-cycled fabrics
Community Murals - We’re going big with telling the Diwali story and need your help to create the characters for the scenes!
