Want to build confidence and have fun? Love the idea of performing comedy but feeling a bit nervous? Or just in need of a boost?
This ten week course will take you through creative ways of writing comedy material in different forms, practicing your confidence on stage, acting out material, and after 10 weeks of coaching - performing your own five minutes of stand up comedy to an audience of friends and family.
At the end of the course, there will be a showcase for friends and family in the studio. Date TBC.
Run by Rachel Sambrooks, writer and performer of stand up comedy, finalist in 'So You Think You Write Funny/Sitcom Trials', she also has been heard on BBC Radio and hosted her own podcast series 'Stand By Your Nan'. Rachel is an i-act positive wellbeing practitioner and will make the course a playful and inclusive space for you to embrace your inner comic and be confident in finding, developing and delivering your own five minutes of material.
