Want to build confidence and have fun? Love the idea of performing comedy but feeling a bit nervous? Or just in need of a boost?
Just like Couch to 5k - you can go from Couch to five minutes of comedy in 10 weeks! On this comedy course you'll try different ways to be funny including improv games, character comedy, building stand up material and even sketches. We will build confidence, have fun and support each other along the way. Previous participants have gone on to stand up comedy gigging, music performance, public speaking and more.
At the end of the course, there will be a showcase for friends and family in the studio hosted by course leader Rachel Sambrooks.
Rachel is a writer and performer of stand up comedy, finalist in 'So You Think You Write Funny/Sitcom Trials', heard on BBC Radio and hosted her own podcast series 'Stand By Your Nan'. Rachel is also an i-act positive wellbeing practitioner.
Please note there will be no class on Monday 5 May or Monday 26 May.
