Funny to The Core is a monthly comedy club at The Core, bringing the best and funniest UK comedy talent to Solihull.

Headlined by award-winning comedian Stephen K Amos! Stephen has charmed and entertained audiences all over the world with his natural, assured delivery and his honest, original material.

A gifted actor, Amos has impressed critics with his performances on stage and screen and has proved he is one of the most unique comedy voices of his generation but demonstrated a penchant for drama roles. Comfortable as a performer, presenter, actor and guest there is no doubt that Amos will retain his position as one of the nation's favourite comedians for a long time to come.

Stephen regularly features on TV and Radio, including QI, Pointless Celebrities, Mock The Week, Celebrity Great British Bake Off, Eastenders and took part in BBC Two series Pilgrimage: The Road To Rome.

Aside from being one of the nation’s favourite faces on the television, Stephen is a prolific writer and performer, releasing a new hour long show every year and performing all over the world at festivals. He has performed in some of the UK’s most loved theatres and also appeared at the Royal Variety Show in 2007.

Opening the show is award winning Iranian-Irish stand up comedian Patrick Monahan! Patrick has performed all over the world, including Dubai, Australia, New York, Norway, and almost every town and city in Britain. With a family-friendly fanbase, his shows cover topics such as class, family, relationships and his hilarious observations of daily life. He has performed over sixteen solo shows at the Edinburgh Festival over consecutive years, which have then toured to sell-out crowds, both nationally and internationally.

Patrick has recorded four solo comedy specials, released online and on DVD. He has made multiple television appearances on BBC One, BBC Two, ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5 and Sky. He was also the winner of two ITV competition series, Take the Mike and Show Me the Funny.

Plus Brighton comic Joe Foster! His dry wit and likeable persona established him as a firm favourite with audiences and promoters alike. In 2015 Joe won the Fosters South Coast Comedian Of The Year Competition which cemented his reputation as one of the fresh new voices on the UK comedy circuit.

Hosted by the brilliant Andy Robinson! Andy has performed over 4000 shows and has also worked as a warmup artist for loads of popular shows on television such as Never Mind The Buzzcocks, Shooting Stars, Later with Jools Holland, Jonathan Ross as well as dozens of others you may know… and some you definitely won’t. 

If more trumpets are to be blown Andy has also been the support act for Sean Lock, Rich Hall and Paddy McGuiness!
