Join Solihull Symphony Orchestra for a concert of romantic favourites, with Valentine’s Day around the corner! The concert is also a tribute to George Newns, who died just before Christmas at the age of 101. George was a member of Solihull Symphony Orchestra and its predecessor, Knowle Sinfonia for almost thirty years, and continued playing violin until a few years ago. Over the past year, George had been recording a CD of love songs on his second instrument, the Hawaiian guitar. Solihull Symphony Orchestra hope to be performing a couple of these songs in the concert.
