The talented Midland Youth Jazz Orchestra are delighted to perform at Artrix Bromsgrove on 22 February 2024, under the expert leadership of John Ruddick MBE. Don’t let the word Youth fool you though – the senior band is an outstanding, award-winning group who will blow you away with their musical abilities.

MYJO have won the BBC Big Band competition so many times that they were forced to rewrite the rules to give others the chance to win!

Award-winning vocalist Matt Ford is widely regarded as the finest big band singer in the UK, broadcasting regularly with the BBC Big Band and The John Wilson Orchestra.

Matt has made many TV appearances including the BBC Proms, Newsnight and Sky Arts. He has toured extensively with The John Wilson Orchestra, performing at the major venues throughout the UK. A Salute to Sinatra and The Kings of Cool and his new show Sing Sing Swing! presents Matt at his best, an engaging personality, singing some of the best songs around.

Sometimes talent just hits you in the face and leaves you gasping.
