Former ELO 2 Star Phil Bates has been a regular visitor at The Core, including in its days as Solihull Arts Complex. He has played there with ELO 2, The Eleanor Rigby Experience, and the Beatles, Blues, and Blue Violin Project. 

Now he comes to play The Core’s Studio venue with support from Tina McBain & Eamonn Galbraith.

The show will see Phil Bates playing many of his Beatles favourites. When he was with The Eleanor Rigby Experience he often reworked the songs of Lennon, McCartney, and Harrison. The show will also feature material from Phil’s own repertoire. He is an outstanding singer songwriter and particularly likes to Sing The Blues. He has released four critically acclaimed albums and one live album.

The show wouldn’t be complete, without performing some of those classic Jeff Lynne songs that made ELO one of the biggest and successful bands in the world.
