Take 13 is a group of women artists based in the West Midlands. For the past ten years we have met monthly and exhibited regularly, sharing our contemporary, and often, diverse art work.
Viriginia Woolf in her book, ‘A Room Of One’s Own’, advocated women having a space of their own in which to create. Initially, two founder members created a project around our studio spaces, whether they be at the kitchen table, in a spare room, garage or fully functioning studio, and we exhibited around that theme.
Here in this exhibition we revisit that, combining our place of work with our finished art and the impact that has had over the years...
