Regrettably due to Covid-19 regulations the venue has been closed and this event has been cancelled so ticketholders are entitled to a refund. Once the Core Theatre has re-opened, Box Office staff will begin to send letters (in date order from 15th March) to all ticketholders, so please don’t call for your refund until you have your letter.

Join us at The Core for our VE Day celebrations with a very special afternoon tea.  Encore’s freshly prepared lunch sittings will take place on a long table, with flags, live entertainment by the Boogaloo Babes and endless tea and filter coffee and scrumptious VE themed platters of cakes, sandwiches and tarts etc. (not a powdered egg in sight!).

There are two sittings at The Core; 12pm and 2pm in Encore Café Bar where other activities will be taking place between 11-3.30pm including drop-in family fun, a nostalgia corner, live music and dance and more.  Further details will be known nearer the date, but book early for the Afternoon Tea as there are only 24 places per sitting and interest is expected to be high.  (Customers booked on the 12noon sitting may be asked to relocate off the main table into other seats to enable re-setting of the table.  They are welcome to stay on in Encore as long as they wish to continue enjoying the day).  The Core is expected to open from 11am until at least 3.30pm.

Staff will be wearing vintage outfits and vintage dress is warmly recommended for attendees but is entirely optional – to find out more about the activities taking place, keep an eye on the Core Theatre website for updated information as activities are confirmed.

Our normal Friday classes and activities will NOT be taking place on VE Day 8th May as it’s a Bank Holiday.
