Award-winning local theatre society Peterbrook Players are delighted to return to The Core Theatre Solihull in 2023, with their brand new production of West Side Story.
Love at first sight strikes when a young Tony meets Maria at a high school dance. Romance blossoms, but this fuels the fire between the Jets and the Sharks, two rival gangs vying for control of the streets of New York.
This modern day Romeo and Juliet story is set on the harsh streets of the Upper West side. Leonard Bernstein's iconic songs include 'Tonight', 'Maria', 'I feel pretty', 'America' and 'One hand, one heart'.
Warning: West Side Story depicts tough New York storylines including violence and intimidation in line with the original script and storyline
