Community Artist in Residence 6 x £6000 commissions available
Solihull Council Cultural Services are seeking to commission 6 x Community Artists in Residence who would work with and alongside specific communities in the Borough. The work of the Community Artists in Residence will ensure the development of arts and cultural activity for a wider range of communities of location across the Borough, helping to develop a wider offer on people’s doorsteps with a focus on communities outside of the town centre.
Cultural Strategy Consultant
Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council wishes to develop an ambitious Cultural Strategy which draws upon our strengths and identifies opportunities for development. We want a strategy that will ensure residents can engage in and access quality activities in arts and culture, supports local freelancers and creative and cultural businesses, develops the cultural economy and enhances our borough. It is envisaged that the work will develop new insights and bring together diverse plans to develop a strategic approach to the development of arts and culture in Solihull.
Public Art Consultant
Solihull Council wishes to commission a consultant or company to carry out a piece of work which will evaluate the use of public art in the borough and make suggestions for its further development.
The commissioners are looking to work with a consultant/ consultants who can engage with staff, external partners and community groups to generate meaningful discussion on the place of public art in Solihull and support the council to develop an ambitious plan for public art across the borough.
