Join us at The Core this summer holiday for Amazing Art workshops. In this session, turn your admiration into inspiration and create a portrait of a hero.
What will you learn?
Learn how to tackle complex drawings, using simple techniques to measure and record proportions accurately. We will focus on capturing character and facial expression through angles and proportions of facial features. Have fun with shading and pencil techniques to build up form and texture, creating a likeness of your inspirational figure. In just one session, you’ll have created a realistic portrait of one of your heroes, which you can take home with pride. And you’ll have developed an understanding of how to build a portrait step-by-step.

You’ve really taught me a lot about the angles of the face and the eyes. It’s been very good to learn new things about shading.
