Funny to The Core - Stephen Bailey

Comedian and presenter Stephen Bailey headlines a hilarious night of comedy in the Studio at The Core! With Joey Page, Alex Mitchell and Ryan Mold.

Funny to The Core is the monthly comedy club  at The Core, bringing the best and funniest UK comedy talent to Solihull.

Headlining the show is comedian, presenter, actor and writer, Stephen Bailey! A proud northern, working class, gay man. The multi-award nominated star’s indecorous brand of gossipy humour has singled him out as one of the UK’s most sought-after talents for comedy and entertainment formats.

Stephen’s credits include Unbreakable (BBC One), co-host on Date or Drop (BBC One) alongside Amanda Holden, Live at the Apollo (BBC Two), Would I Lie To You, Richard Osman's House of Games, Celebrity Bridge of Lies & Celebrity Weakest Link (BBC One), Between The Covers & Strictly: It Takes Two (BBC Two), Pointless Celebrities (BBC One), The Stand Up Sketch Show (ITV2), Roast Battle (Comedy Central), Celebrity Mastermind (BBC One), The Apprentice: You’re Fired, Love Island: Aftersun (ITV2), Tipping Point: Lucky Stars (ITV) and a regular on CelebAbility (ITV2).

Most recently, he has recorded BBC's new stand-up show Live From Barry Island and his debut BBC Radio 4 stand-up special "Stephen Bailey: One of Many”.

Opening the show is Joey Page! Accomplished and hilarious with a unique take on the everyday, Joey’s career so far has been studded with rave reviews, award nominations (Best Comedy 2018 Perth Fringe Nominee & Best Edinburgh show @ Brighton Fringe awards 2017 Nominee) and TV appearances.

As seen on BBC 3’s Comedy Marathon, Never Mind the Buzzcocks & Noel Fielding's Luxury Comedy.

Over the last few years, Joey has built quite the reputation as a circuit favourite, for his hilarious observations coming from a working class hero trapped in the body of an east end hipster. His truly captivating stage presence leaves an audience feeling that they have seen something very special.

With Britain’s Got Talent 2024 finalist Alex Mitchell!

Alex is an autistic comic with functional neurological disorder (FND). He uses self-deprecating humour – laughing at himself, his neurodivergence, disability and sexuality – to reflect on some of the most difficult subjects within his own life and wider society.

Hosted by the brilliant Ryan Mold!
